I’m a 25-year-old proud Samoan island girl who grew up in Hawai’i and now lives on the mainland. Although life here is very different from island life, I’ll always carry my culture, my values, and my love for home wherever I go. I miss the ocean, the food, the warm weather, and being surrounded by family, but no matter where life takes me, I’ll always be an island girl at heart.

Love, JA is more than just a beauty brand-it’s a dream that I chose to pursue again with even more passion and purpose. As I prepared to relaunch, I spent months researching trusted vendors, testing products, comparing quality, and thoughtfully selecting every item that would become part of Love, JA. I wanted to take my time because I believe my customers deserve products that are not only beautiful but also high quality and affordable. Every product you see has been chosen with intention, love, and care.

My love for beauty started long before I even knew what a business was.

As a little girl, I was completely obsessed with Barbies. Some of my favorite childhood memories were going to the store with my Papa whenever we were back home in Samoa. I already knew exactly where I wanted to go-the Barbie aisle. Somehow, I’d always convince my Papa to buy me another Barbie to take home. I loved dressing them up, brushing their hair, changing their outfits, and pretending I was their personal makeup artist. Looking back now, those simple moments became some of my favorite memories, and I never realized they were planting the seeds for the dream I’m living today.

I also laugh when I think back to little me wearing Cinderella heels outside, carrying lip gloss everywhere I went, and even putting on mascara to play outside with my cousins. I probably looked so funny, but even then, beauty made me happy.

As I got older, my obsession with beauty only grew.

Lashes and lip gloss quickly became my favorite beauty products. If you knew me growing up, you knew I rarely left the house without lashes and lip gloss. That simple combination always made me feel confident, and it became part of who I was.

I’ve always loved everything about beauty. My room has always been filled with makeup, lashes, beauty products, and all the little things that make me happy. That’s what inspired Love, JA.

But beauty isn’t my only passion.

I’m also a very creative person. I’ve always loved crafting and making things by hand, so you’ll also see handmade pieces throughout my collections. There’s something so special about creating something with your own hands and knowing it’ll find a new home with someone who loves it just as much.

I’m also someone who genuinely loves teaching myself new things. If there’s a new DIY project, craft, or creative skill I want to learn, I’ll spend hours researching, watching videos, practicing, and figuring it out until I get it right. I enjoy challenging myself, learning new techniques, and turning simple ideas into something beautiful. Creating has always been one of my favorite ways to express myself, and I love bringing those ideas to life through Love, JA.
